How To Date Guy Without Having To Make The First Move

I have this vivacious girlfriend who is always upbeat and happy. Some days passed by and she seemed to be under the weather a bit. I nearly flipped when she ask how to date guy who just joined the company she works in. She never had dating issues, so why start having them now.

We have been friends for ten years, since middle school. I have never known her to being shy to ask boys out or how to ask date to take her out again. So I am naturally intrigued by this guy who is making my friend flutter like a teenager waiting for her first date.

So one day I purposely dropped by her office during lunch. She was sitting at her desk looking not quite at ease. I asked if I come at the wrong time. She just shook her head, but at the same time her eyes were following a man holding a paper cup at the water cooler just around the corner of the office.

I turned to see this person she was watching. Oo-la-la. This guy had smoldering good looks. Tall, dark and terribly handsome. I guessed his looks alone has made my friend to be tongue tied. Something that is foreign to her character.

I prodded her to go and talk to the guy. But she said her hands are clammy and sweating. I handed her a box of wet, scented tissue so that she can freshen her hands.

Suddenly, she jumped out of her chair and walked towards the guy. I watched her with interest. She lifted her face towards the man and said something. I saw the man smiled and nodded. My friend came back walking with her shoulders back and spotting a big smile on her face.

She said something like, "How to date guy if you don't make the first move? Well, I asked him out for dinner tonight and he said yes." That's the way, girl. Time is too short for those who wait. Even the dating guides would say the same.
